Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when and how PRMergeSafe issues refunds for paid subscriptions. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the terms below.
1. 14-day refund window (new subscriptions)
If you subscribe to a paid plan (Starter, Team, or Scale) for the first time, you can request a full refund within 14 days of the initial charge for any reason. Just email us — no questions asked.
This window applies only to your first paid subscription. Refunds on renewals are handled under section 2 below.
2. Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically each month. If you forgot to cancel before renewal, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we'll typically issue a refund as long as you haven't used the new month's credits significantly (under 20%).
To avoid future renewal charges, cancel your subscription before the next billing date via your dashboard at prmergesafe.com/dashboard/billing. Cancellation stops future charges; it doesn't refund past ones.
3. Service failure
If PRMergeSafe is unavailable for an extended period (more than 24 hours of downtime in a billing cycle) or fails to deliver analyses you were charged for, we'll issue a pro-rated refund for the affected period. Contact us with specifics and we'll review.
4. Credit purchases and overage
Overage charges (incurred when you exceed your monthly credits on Starter, Team, or Scale plans) are billed at the end of each cycle for credits already consumed. Used credits are non-refundable since the AI analysis has already been performed and we've paid the underlying compute cost.
5. Annual plans
If you switch to an annual subscription (when available), refunds for cancellations after the 14-day window are pro-rated: you receive a refund for the unused months minus a 10% administrative fee.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@prmergesafe.com with:
- The email address on your subscription
- Your GitHub organization name
- The date of the charge you'd like refunded
- A brief reason (optional but helpful)
We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
7. What is NOT refundable
- The Free tier (there's nothing to refund)
- Credits already consumed by completed PR analyses
- Overage charges for credits used in the prior cycle
- Subscriptions cancelled outside the 14-day window without a service failure
8. Disputes and chargebacks
Before filing a chargeback with your bank, please contact us first — we issue refunds quickly when warranted. Chargebacks filed without prior contact may result in suspension of your PRMergeSafe account.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a dashboard notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
